  • A 6" - 7" cake tin can hold 1-1.5 cups of flour. However, the size of the cake tin is determined by whether you want your cake to be tall or flat. You should keep the following points in mind:
If you use a smaller tin, the cake will rise but have cracks. Don't worry, the baking time will increase as well. Similarly, baking time will be reduced for larger tins.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack for 3-4 hours. When it has reached room temperature, cut it into slices and serve. If you want to frost the cake, wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 5-6 hours before frosting. This will allow you to easily cut the cake into layers.
